I've been working with SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3 for almost 2 months now, and at some point after running two or three jobs my computer completely crashes and reboots. I work on an operating system Window's XP 2002, and my computer has 3.46 gb of RAM. Others in my department have the same computer, with the same software, and they do not experience any crashing. My IT department is recommending a 64 bit operating system with 8GB of RAM, and I'm not sure I can justify the expense until I do further research, since I'm on the same system as many others in my department, and I'm the ONLY one who crashes. Has anyone out there experienced the same problem of their computer crashing when using SAS, and if so, how were they able to resolve the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
